The first Indian restaurant I went to in Barcelona, and it was good. Even the name made me think of home in NYC where the Indian restaurant I went to the most often has the word “Mahal” in its name (part of the reason for my decision to choose this place).c/Sant Pau, 103

Entrance:
It was raining that night, but from the stacks of chairs and tables outside, I would guess they also offer outdoor seating! The inside is light pink and they proudly display photos of Harrison Ford and Calista Flockhart eating there on their walls. I am also guessing they are pretty busy on weekends, as even on a rainy night it was full.
Vegetable Samosa €2.25

Good normal samosas, flaky and lots of potatoes inside.
Sauces.

Mint yogurt up top, and jam-like sweet tamarind sauce.
Fish Tikka Masala €8.25 (top right), Muttar Paneer €5.50 (bottom right), 2 nan €2.5, and plain rice €3.25

Thin but fluffy normal nan bread and colorful basmati rice. The fish was in a tomatoey lightly spiced curry sauce with lots of peppers and the other was a sweet creamy curry with peas and cubes of homemade chewy cheese (didn’t really taste like anything, as usual, but added a nice meaty texture).
I had been wanting to come back again all year, but sadly never made it.
