Entrance:
A tiny 2 floor restaurant hidden on a small alley in the Barri Gòtic maze. Be sure to check the map before looking for this place!
Interior:

This place is tiny! There are a couple of small tables downstairs or you can sit at the bar and watch them prepare the sushi. We were seated on the second floor, up a narrow little staircase. Very orange and pretty, very cosy and comfortable as well, with cushiony seats. There are only about 20 seats in the restaurant, so reservations are quite necessary. Make them several days, even a week, in advance.
Green tea €2 each.

Miso soup €3.50

Good salty and strong miso soup with lots of small cubes of soft tofu.
Wakame seaweed salad €7.00

Creamy smoked salmon on top of crispy seaweed, marinated with sesame and soy sauces, and a couple strips of fresh mango underneath.
Kynoto Moriawase €33.00 (back, 26 pieces) and Caramelized Smoked Eel €12.50 (front, 8 pieces)

Nicely presented all on one big plate. The sushi was good and fresh with super soft slices of salmon and tuna sashimi, California rolls, mushroom and cream cheese rolls, shrimp, squid and others. I had never had raw scallops before, but I’m glad my first time was here! The scallops (the little pale balls in the upper middle of the photo) were so fresh and soft they really just melted in my mouth!
The eel rolls in the front were also very good. Wrapped in slices of soft avocado and topped with a sweet caramelized soy sauce, the roll was sweet with light eel flavors but also refreshing from crunchy shreds of cucumber.
Cafe con leche €2

Chocolate Niguiris €4

They called this dessert chocolate niguiris so I imagined chocolate on rice! They were really just very dark chocolates, with a coffee-like bitterness, and a very chewy and dense fudgy inside. The strawberry jam on top also went well with the dark chocolate and the combination resembled a piece from a fancy box of chocolates.
Jasmin Tea Sorbet €4

If you love Jasmine tea, like me, you’ll absolutely love this dessert as well! 2 soft icy scoops of sorbet that tasted exactly like fragrant Jasmin tea, lightly sweetened to perfection. YUM!
One of the best Japanese restaurants I have visited in Barcelona. Very tight space, but that means you get friendly attentive service and a quiet and cosy atmosphere great for close friends or a warm fuzzy date.
