Entrance:
A once popular café to go to before a show at the Liceu theater across the street. I think it’s pretty touristy now but it still has some pretty cute original decor inside.
Chocolate and churros, and a plate of calamari.

This is one of the first times I got chocolate con churros and the churros are nice and crispy. They arent covered in sugar and cinammon like the mexican ones I used to only know, but go really well with the super thick chocolate.
Close-up of the hot chocolate:

I always thought it was a bit weird when I learned in Spanish class that the Spanish dip churros in hot chocolate for breakfast. I imagined big sticks of cinnamon and sugared churros dipped into watery hot chocolate. The hot chocolate is more like a pudding because it’s so thick! mmmm everyone scrapes the lasts bits of chocolate from the cup with their spoons.

Café con leche
Patatas bravas.

The sauce is pretty much just ketchup instead of the usual tomato sauce mayo combo.
